What is Recruitment Fraud?

Recruitment fraud is a sophisticated scam offering fake job opportunities to job seekers. This type of fraud can be carried out through false websites, fake emails claiming to be from the company, or phony social media profiles. The fraudsters often request recipients to provide personal information and to make payments as part of their fake recruiting process.

We are aware that job postings and offers may have been made by people who claim to be recruiters for Perch Energy, even using Perch Energy employee names, but who are not affiliated with Perch Energy. We have also been made aware that unauthorized individuals may have posed as Perch Energy recruiters, made contact about job opportunities, interviewed people via video conference, and extended job offers via text message, instant message, or chat rooms. These job postings and offers are not authorized by Perch Energy. Perch Energy is not responsible for fraudulent offers or requests for personal information.

How to Protect Yourself from Recruitment Fraud

  • Recruiters who ask candidates to pay "start-up expenses" such as purchasing office equipment after being hired, to submit unusual personal information like bank statements or utility bills, or to pay a fee in order to be considered for a job are not affiliated with Perch Energy.

  • Perch Energy does not use private messaging tools such as Skype, Google Hangouts, Gmail, Facebook, or Facebook Messenger to extend job offers.

  • If you find a Perch Energy posting on an external site not operated by Perch Energy, verify its legitimacy before applying by visiting our
Careers page and corresponding Paylocity Job Portal. All legitimate jobs will be posted there.

  • Emails from Perch Energy will be sent from the perchenergy.com domain. If you receive an email that has a similar but inconsistent domain, the communication is not from Perch Energy.

If you believe you have been a victim of a fraudulent offer, please contact us at people@perchenergy.com.
